Meet Philipe Bruce 

Philipe Bruce brings over two decades of diverse experience in International Business, Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, and Community Engagement. As the Founder of The Bloc, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of youth and seniors in Lincoln and Omaha, Philipe has demonstrated a strong commitment to community development. His expertise extends to his role as a Senior GRC Analyst at Marqeta, where he developed comprehensive risk management frameworks.

In his position as Assistant Vice President, Cybersecurity Analyst at Bank of the West, Philipe specialized in cybersecurity and risk assessment, ensuring the integrity and security of organizational processes. He also contributed to the academic field as an Adjunct Professor at the Nebraska Business Development Center, where he mentored future leaders in Organizational Management.

Philipe’s community involvement is highlighted by his board memberships with the Lincoln Council for International Visitors, Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County, and the Foundation for Lincoln City Libraries. Although he withdrew from the 2024 State Senate race, his candidacy showcased his dedication to public service and his commitment to enhancing the community. His advocacy with the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition and the Midlands African Chamber further underscores his drive to effect positive change both locally and globally.

Philipe holds certifications in Effective Facilitation, CISA, CTPRP, Agile Methodology, and Scrum Master, blending a robust technical foundation with proven leadership skills. His published works on business planning and talent management reflect his dedication to continuous learning and thought leadership. Fluency in French and Ewe enhances his ability to engage in international contexts.

Educationally, Philipe earned a Master of Legal Studies from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Science in Organizational Management from Peru State College. His leadership in trade missions between The Republic of Togo and Nebraska, along with participation in several trade missions led by the Nebraska Secretary of State, highlights his commitment to fostering international business relationships and cross-cultural collaboration.
