Lucy Mendenhall is a junior at Marian High School with diverse work experience. Her roles have included lifeguarding, food running, and hostessing, alongside current positions as a nanny, camp director of Camp Rock, and team member at Eileen’s Cookies. Actively engaged in Marian’s musical productions and the show-choir group Momentum, Lucy has also contributed to MHS tennis, FBLA, and volunteers weekly at St. Bernard’s Child Care. Her academic achievements reflect her dedication with a GPA of 4.15, and she plans to join the National Honor Society in the fall. In summer 2020, Lucy founded Camp Rock in response to the cancellation of summer activities due to the pandemic. Starting with 15 children, the camp has grown to accommodate 80 campers annually. Camp Rock offers a variety of enriching activities including arts and crafts, service learning, nature exploration, and fostering lasting friendships. Lucy has successfully transitioned her initial dream into a thriving small business.
